2018 Honda Accord Review
There’s a good reason why the Honda Accord is one of the most popular sedan models year after year. Drivers in Denver, Aurora, and Centennial prefer it for its personality, its refined ride experience, and the range of convenience, safety and luxury features it has to offer.
The Honda Accord is back in the 2018 model year with new technology and safety features never offered before. Discover why the 2018 Honda Accord stands to maintain a well-deserved spot at the head of the class, and learn if it’s the right vehicle for you in this review from the team at Mile High Honda.
Engine Performance & Technology
This year, the Accord loses the V6 engine option. Instead, it receives a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine which delivers a solid 250 horsepower via a ten-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual. The base engine in the 2018 Honda Accord is now a 1.5L turbocharged four, which gives you 192 horsepower and is matched up with a CVT. At any level, you’ll get plenty of power, punch, and pep from the new Accord. There will also be a Honda Accord hybrid option for outstanding fuel economy.
A host of new active safety features are sure to combine to further enhance the performance of the vehicle that make up the suite of Honda Sensing® features. Amenities include:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System™
- Forward Collision Warning
- Lane Keep Assist System
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
- Road Departure Mitigation
There is also an added Traffic Sign Recognition safety feature that captures speed limits and displays it for your convenience in your Driver Information interface. Also, a Driver Attention Monitor feature in all trim levels allows you to keep your steering in control and alerts you if anything is off point. You can sit back and relax in the driver’s seat in the 2018 Honda Accord and let this new model do the work for you.
Honda Accord Interior
Speaking of luxury, the new Accord cabin has been redesigned for maximum comfort and luxury. Materials are constructed of high-quality, soft touch surfaces. The infotainment system in the 2018 Honda Accord now has a high-end upgrade to the interface, driven by either a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen at the center console. The return of physical knobs for tuning and volume means less fiddling with settings and less time with your eyes off the road.
In addition, the sound dampening technology in the Honda Accord has been upgraded, as has the suspension. Together this results in an exceptionally serene and quiet ride with minimum bumping or jarring.
