There’s nothing like a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Denver, where thousands of lads and lasses flood the streets for bar tours, live music, and one of the largest St. Patty’s Day parades in the country. It can be hard to nail down plans for this festive Irish holiday, so we’ve put together a guide to Saint Patrick’s Day events happening in Denver. Grab your green, head down to the pub, and read the post below to find out how you can make this St. Patrick’s Day the best one yet.
Start Your Morning with Keggs & Eggs
Blake Street Tavern comes alive on St. Patrick’s Day with its annual Keggs & Eggs celebration hosted by the radio station Channel 93.3. Kicking off bright and early at 7:00 AM, patrons can get their Irish on with whiskey, green beer, delicious food, and live performances from Bryce Fox, Bishop Briggs, and American Authors. This event is free and open to people ages 21 and over, making Blake Street Tavern the perfect first stop for a St. Patty’s Day bar crawl.
Take Your Family to the 2017 Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Each year, more than 200,000 people flood Denver’s streets to watch its St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Celtic-themed marching bands, floats, and Irish dancers will parade through the city on March 11 starting at 9:30 AM, and we recommend getting there early, as the streets tend to fill up fast. Regardless of whether or not you’re Irish, the parade is a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your family.
Break a Sweat during Runnin’ of the Green
Runnin’ of the Green is an Irish-themed foot race/walk slated for March 12 at 17th and Wazee Street. With proceeds benefitting Volunteers of America, Runnin’ of the Green includes a 7K run/walk race, a 7K challenged athlete race, and a 2.2-mile untimed run/walk. Registration starts at 7:00 AM, and the 7K race begins at 10:15 AM. If you plan on attending, be sure to register today!
