New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Denver
To end 2015 with a bang, assemble your spectating crew and head to downtown Denver for their annual New Year’s Eve fireworks display. Two identical shows will take place, booming above the 16th Street Mall, one to say farewell to 2015 at 9 pm and another to kick off 2016 as the clock strikes 12.
Those who choose to attend both shows can spend their time between watching and interacting with street performers as magicians, stilt walkers, comedians, and many more do dazzling tricks.
A New Year Wake and Revival at the Howl
Welcome 2016 by venturing back in time at the Howl art center’s New Year Wake & Revival event being held at the Syntax Physic Opera. Each year, the Howl puts on an epic tribute to an era’s culture and impact. This year’s theme transports attendees back to the 1800s, exploring the enchantment of old world rituals, medicine, and music.
Come adorned in your finest Victorian or Old West attire and don’t forget your dancing shoes. Bop along to tunes from local bands interpreting songs from another time, sip turn-of-the-century concoctions, and share tasty small plates with an old twist from the area’s top eateries.
Howl takes place from 7:30 pm on New Year’s Eve to the first 2 am of 2016.
