Mile High Honda Gives Back

During the month of October, Mile High Honda pledged to make a donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation for every vehicle sold throughout the month.  At the end of the month the dealership donated a total of $1,500 to the foundation in memory of Yolanda D. Proctor.

About the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Founded in 1982, the Susan G. Komen Foundation battles breast cancer on several fronts. They’ve invested more than $2.6 billion in research and have touched the lives of millions through their public policy initiatives, global outreach, and community health programs.

The organization’s founder, Nancy G. Brinker, vowed to eradicate breast cancer after her sister, Susan, died from the disease in 1980. The Susan G. Komen Foundation moves closer to fulfilling that promise as the years go by, but they need your support to do so.

Today, the Susan G. Komen Foundation is active in more than 30 countries, and its efforts have reduced breast cancer death rates by 34% since 1990. Additionally, five-year relative survival rates for early-stage cancer jumped from 74% to 99% because of their research.

Thanks to Susan G. Komen, the fight against breast cancer developed into a worldwide movement of love, hope, and inspiration. But the organization still needs your help to make their dream a reality. With your support, Susan G. Komen will be unstoppable.
