5 Reasons to Attend A Taste of Colorado 2016
Drawing over 500,000 attendees each year, A Taste of Colorado has become a favorite festival of Colorado culture, heritage, cuisine, and art. And it’s all offered without having to pay a penny at the gate!
What are you in for when you head to Downtown Denver this Labor Day Weekend (Friday, September 2 through Monday, September 5)?
1. A Major Food for All
More than 50 of Colorado’s top restaurants will be in attendance at A Taste of Colorado 2016. In addition to having some of the best chefs in the state congregating in one place (a thrill on its own), they’re each preparing special and unique menu items that pack a flavor punch in a specialty small plate for you to enjoy. Foodies, welcome to cloud nine.
2. Five Stages of Live Music
What goes with dynamite food bites? The likes of local and national musicians soundtracking your out-of-this-world tasting. Nearly every music genre will be represented at the festival, allowing you to sample more than just great eats but great tunes too.
Catch Boyz II Men, Taylor Dayne, and Big Bad VooDoo Daddy taking the mainstream stage, while countless world-class rock, country, Colorado heritage, and classic rock tribute bands hop up on Taste’s five stages of sound for a for-day concert set you won’t soon forget.
3. Crafts for Miles
Cowboy hats to home décor, A Taste of Colorado offers attendees a window into the world of Colorado’s talented artists and crafters with a 275-craft-booth network to navigate. Find wall art and photography, handcrafted furniture, intricate and unique jewelry pieces, and much more.
You’ll even get the chance to learn how former Coloradoans crafted in the past as featured artisans demonstrate blacksmithing, beading, and felting.
4. Complimentary Samples and Sips
Thanks to the many dedicated sponsors, there will be a plethora of tasty samples for you to indulge in on the house. A new, locally grown potato variety, classic Sicilian pizza, jerky, and Nathan’s Famous hot dogs are just a few.
Not to mention the bevy of beverages that await you. Look forward to complimentary swigs from Pepsi, XingTea, Eldorado Vitamin Spring Water, and Barefoot Wine & Bubbly.
